Recently, “Triangle Rune” producer Toby Fox showed more real-life footage of the new chapter of “Triangle Rune”.
Demo video:
The video mainly presents a newly introduced enemy type in the combat system – “Guei”, a ghost-like monster driven by a desire to move. The player can control Ralsei to cast “Xercism”, which causes all Guei to start exercising, which has the same effect as the single skill “Exercism”. Alternatively, the player can command Susie to launch a special operation to “tell a story about the living dead” – at this point, the monsters will suddenly exclaim “We are ghosts” in Chinese.
Like other enemies, Guei can be influenced by specific actions. When the player encourages them to exercise, Guei will attack first, and after successfully dodging in the barrage session, these ghosts will enter a “tired” state and be forgiven. Toby Fox said in a tweet that the Chinese lines were not a translation error, it was just the way this terrible beast talked. In addition to this battle, the new chapter will also be full of such nonsensical scenes.
Triangle Runes chapters 1-4 will land on June 5Switch/Switch2/PS4/PS5/PC platforms, including new combat mechanics and multilingual.
