Recently, SE updated the “Final Fantasy 9” 25th anniversary webpage, adding merchandise and character files for the game’s main characters.
While the merchandise is stunning, the character archives are even more imaginative to fans – many believe it could be a hint of a remake. Click on the avatars of Hidan, Bibi, Carriet, or Steina to see new illustrations created by character designer Toshiyuki Itaha for the 25th anniversary. In addition to the illustrations, the page also displays the full names of the characters, classic lines and condensed character stories.
The appearances of these character synopses are intriguing, and while the synopsis briefly describes the characters’ experiences, they all avoid key spoilers for Final Fantasy 9. At present, SE has announced a number of 25th anniversary projects, including prequel picture books, vinyl records, plush dolls and themed handbags, etc., but the complete remastered version has not yet been officially confirmed. On the occasion of the anniversary of July 7 this year, perhaps the official will bring a surprise.
Final Fantasy 9 was originally released on the PlayStation platform in Japan on July 7, 2000, and the HD remastered version is now available on Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4,SwitchandXbox One platform.
