The creator of “Venus Brilliant Holiday: Dead or Alive, Xtreme” said that the sequel needs to wait and see

On the occasion of the 7.5th anniversary celebration of “Dead or Alive: Beach Volleyball Venus Vacation”, series producer Yasunori Sakurada was recently interviewed to compare this long-running online game with the latest buyout systemIn loveMarket performance of the simulation game Venus Holiday: Dead or Alive Xtreme. Although specific sales figures were not disclosed, Sakurada told Famitsu that the $60 stand-alone game was “an overall success”, but the development of the sequel still needs to wait and see player feedback.

Due to the use of costly 3D immersion technology (including a motion tracking system for the characters’ faces and bodies) in Venus Vacation: Dead or Alive Xtreme, it is difficult for Koei Tecmo to commit to a sequel in the short term. Sakurada also admitted that the game was only released in Japan, South Korea and other Asian regions, resulting in limited popularity, and some players were taking a wait-and-see attitude because their favorite characters did not appear.

Although this game has special gameplay such as the Venus favorability system, advanced photo mode and photo scoring mechanism, the lineup of only six characters is far less than the scale of the online game version. Sakurada hopes that more players can experience this work’s unique interpretation of the love simulation genre, and Team Ninja will continue to promote the game’s features in the future.

Currently PS4/PS5 withSteamThe platform’s “Venus Brilliant Holiday: Dead or Alive Xtreme” has no DLC content planned.
